The X Series smartphones launched by Chinese consumer electronics firm vivo are positioned as flagship models specializing in mobile imaging experience. Details about the vivo X80 series have emerged lately, indicating that they will be equipped with a Dimensity 9000 processor, and are expected to be officially unveiled sometime this month.
Chinese online tipster “@Digital Chat Station” revealed on Wednesday that the X80 series will also feature the brand’s independently developed imaging chip, as well as the flagship new contact image sensors (CIS) with enhanced light input. It can be seen from a comparison picture released with the post that the shooting effect at night is comparable to that of night-vision devices.
In addition, the blogger said that the vivo X80 Pro is to be equipped with a self-developed ISP + RGBW/F/1. 57 image sensor. It has a ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, making it “the most balanced flagship smartphone equipped with a Dimensity chipset.”
The previously leaked information shows that the vivo X80 medium version can be a Pro edition, which adopts a 6.78 inch FHD and an E5 flexible single-nitch curved display. It will have 4000+ mm² VC cooling dissipation, supporting an X-axis linear motor and DC dimming. The model has also been adapted to support the 120-frame ultra-high frame rate modes of mobile game Honor of Kings.
Jia Jingdong, Vice President of vivo Brand and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, added that the original NEX series’ mission will not disappear, and will be carried by the company’s flagship X series. The upcoming X series will also present more innovations and surprises in terms of form and user experience.
