According to Tianyancha App, Chinese tech giant Tencent secured a patent for a “PC Console” on Tuesday. The patent abstract shows that the product is to be used for games and entertainment.
On Thursday, miHoYo, the developer of internationally popular action role-playing game "Genshin Impact," clarified that the Nintendo Switch version is still under development.
Tencent had recently acquired about 90% of Wake Up Interactive's shares, a Japanese game studio. The purchase may have happened in September and might be worth more than 5 billion yen ($44 million).
