The application status of “XIAOMI PAY” has recently changed to “registered”, and the international classification of it is financial property management. Xiaomi had applied for several “MI PAY” trademarks earlier, among which many of them in other classifications have been registered, but the one in the financial property management classification has not been previously successful.
According to theirwebsite, Mi Pay is a smartphone payment method based on Tianxing Financial Wallet App (formerly Xiaomi Wallet App) under the Xiaomi brand name. The company provides services for users through Near Field Communication (NFC) technology or QR codes. At present, Mi Pay can be used in POS machines with “UnionPay” Mobile QuickPass logos, payment terminal devices and many online payment systems in some common Apps.
Since its launch in 2016, relying on Xiaomi electronic products and online sales channels, Mi Pay has mainly focused on online payment situations within Xiaomi‘s own product system, including Xiaomi Home, Xiaomi Mall and other applications.
Users can open the wallet App in MIUI system, clicks “Mi Pay” to add bank cards or other cards, and after the information authentication, cards can be successfully added. When using, users need to double-click the power button and verify the fingerprint to wake up Mi Pay, and then present the QR code to complete the payment.
