Xiaomi Reshuffles Indian Management Team

Xiaomi India appointed Muralikrishnan B, its Chief Operating Officer, as its new president on July 15. The new president will be responsible for day to day operations, services, public affairs and strategic projects. This appointment will take effect on August 1, 2022.

On June 3, the company has already announced plans to adjust the innards of the organization. The announcement at that time showed that Alvin Tse, the former general manager of Xiaomi Indonesia, would serve as the Indian division’s general manager while Anuj Sharma would rejoin as its chief marketing officer.

Muralikrishnan has worked with Xiaomi for many years. He used to be the chief operating officer of Jabong India and the head of eBay India. He has been chief operating officer of Xiaomi India since 2018.

Xiaomi said Muralikrishnan would oversee its day-to-day operations and services in India and continue to strengthen the company’s commitment towards the Make in India and Digital India initiative.

Alvin Tse graduated from Stanford University with a major in management science and engineering and joined Xiaomi in 2013. He has helped the company expand into many key global markets such as India and Western Europe. In 2019, Xiaomi announced the adjustment of its personnel structure regarding the international department and established the international operator development department. At that time, Alvin Tse was appointed as the director of Xiaomi Indonesia, who was made fully responsible for the business development and operation management in Indonesia.
