Xiaomi Announces Redmi Note 9S

On March 23, Beijing-based electronics giant Xiaomi announced their next smartphone release, the Redmi Note 9S. The company also released additional two products the Mi Handheld Vacuum Cleaner 1C and a Mi Smart Compact Projector.

The Redmi Note 9S will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset and will feature an upgraded haptic feedback system.

In terms of display, the Redmi Note 9S will have a 6.67” FHD+ DotDisplay, while the front and back of the device will be covered with splash-proof nano coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to provide optimal durability. With a screen to body ratio of 91%, the Redmi Note 9S comes in Interstellar Grey, Aurora Blue and Glacier White and also has a TÜV Rhineland low blue light certification.

The Redmi Note 9S boasts a 5020mAh battery, supports 18W fast charging and comes with a 22.5W in-box charger. Xiaomi’s latest device also boasts a quad camera setup on the back with a 48MP main lens and an in-display 16MP front facing lens.

The Redmi Note 9S will first be available in Southeast Asian markets including Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand, with an initial launch exclusively available on Alibaba-owned e-commerce platform Lazada. The gadget will be priced between $200 and $240 depending on the 4GB+64GB or 6GB+128GB version.
