On Monday, smartphone manufacturer vivo announced that its new X80 series product launch conference will be held at 19:00 on April 25, with the slogan: “Zeiss Image, Beyond What You See.”
The rendering of the vivo X80 model has also been exposed, with three colorways. According to information released by a domestic tipster, the device is available in orange, blue and black colorways, without a periscope telephoto lens. Previously leaked information suggests that three new products will be launched this time, including the vivo X80, vivo X80 Pro Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Edition, vivo X80 Pro Dimensity 9000 Edition, while the stronger X80 Pro+ will come in the second half of this year.
The brand has revealed that the vivo X80 series is positioned as the top in the field of mobile imaging. It will be equipped with vivo’s latest self-developed chip, a Zeiss optical lens and a high-texture and true-color imaging system.
According to leaks by digital blogger with username “@Digital Chat Station,” the vivo X80 Pro will be the first smartphone to adopt a GNV sensor. This camera is customized and upgraded based on the Samsung 50MP GN1 sensor, with 50MP resolution, 1/1.3 sensor with F/1.57 aperture and the upgraded V1+ imaging chip.
Google Play Console information shows that the vivo X80 will be equipped with a MediaTek 9000 (MT6983) processor, pre-installed with Android 12-based operating system and a 1080 x 2400 resolution display.
Meanwhile, previous leaks suggests that the vivo X80 adopts a 1080P display with true DC dimming, a Dimensity 9000 processor and a V1 imaging chip. It will be the first model to be equipped with the Sony IMX866 (RGBW) lens, while the portrait and super wide-angle lens are IMX663. It doesn’t support Gimbal Stabilization, but will be equipped with infrared blasters, NFC and an in-display optical fingerprint sensor.
The vivo X80 Pro will have Dimensity 9000 Edition and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Edition. It will have a 6.78-inch LTPO 2.0 E5 AMOLED display and the V1 chip.
