Vivo to Launch Tablet Product Equipped With Snapdragon 870

In August this year, Vivo’s vice president unveiled that the company will launch tablet computers in the first half of 2022. On Saturday, a digital blogger with the account name ‘@Digital Chat Station‘ leaked that the firm is now planning to launch a tablet computer product equipped with a Snapdragon 870 SoC processor.

Although the name of this tablet computer has not been made public, this model has registered the trademark “Vivo Pad” in the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in June this year, which belongs to Class 9 and covers multiple product categories, including Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) and tablet computer. At the same time, some netizens also found a Vivo device suspected of being a tablet computer on TUV, with a battery capacity of 8040mAh.

As for the positioning of Vivo’s tablet computer, the leaker said that this tablet computer has many editions, including ink tablet, small-sized gaming tablet and large-screen OLED flagship tablet.

Besides Vivo, OnePlus and OPPO are also expected to release tablet products. The former registered the trademark “OnePlus Pad” in EUIPO in July. In September this year, Liu Bo, vice president of OPPO, revealed that tablet products will be launched in the first half of next year, and a promotional poster showing a tablet product was released at the company’s new product launch conference on September 16 this year.
