LightSpeed Studios, a prominent Chinese game developer and subsidiary of Tencent Games, released a teaser trailer for its new product on June 24, which was developed by Unreal Engine 5. The work is an open world martial arts game with the landing platform unknown.
Unreal Engine 5 was released in May 2020, invented with the goal of achieving photo-level quality scenarios comparable to movie CGI animation – and even real life experiences – in games. The product also takes into account the development process as well as practicality providing efficient development tools and content stores.
At present, more information about this game remains unknown. The feature film and related details will be officially announced at a Tencent Games conference dubbed “SPARK 2022,” which is being held on Monday.
LightSpeed Studios is one of the four major studio groups within Tencent‘s Interactive Entertainment Group (IEG) division. Its representative works include “Game for Peace,” “Happy Poker,” “Happy Mahjong,” “Strongest NBA,” and “Free Fantasy.” Additionally, the studio has many works developed by Unreal Engines.
For example, Game for Peace is a domestic mobile military competition game involving anti-terrorism themes developed by Tencent‘s LightSpeed Studios, and it was officially put into public beta on May 8, 2019. The game has been developed by the Unreal Engine 4, which is committed to restoring PC game data from aspects like pictures, maps and shooting, so as to create a realistic comprehensive military competition experience for players.
