STEPN to Randomly Select 2000 Users for APE Sneakers

The Move to Earn app STEPN on June 26 announced that it will randomly draw 2,000 users who have completed its Sneaker Enhancement to receive a pair of APE Sneakers while users who have already obtained APE Sneakers through “Double-Enhancing” will not be included in the lottery.

STEPN is a Web3 lifestyle app with inbuilt Game-Fi and Social-Fi elements. Users equip themselves with NFTs in the form of Sneakers and, by walking, jogging, or running outdoors, users earn game currency which can then be used either in-game or cashed out for profit.

STEPN told its community on June 21 that it has added the Sneaker Enhancement in the latest version of its app. In the Sneaker Enhancement process, five pairs of Sneakers of the same quality can be upgraded into a Sneaker of the next higher quality. Further, there is a small chance that the quality of the enhanced Sneaker can be two levels above.

The min/max attribute values of the new Sneaker will be increased by 20% and the new Sneaker type (Walker / Jogger / Runner / Trainer) is correlated to the types of the 5 pairs of Sneakers that are used for the Enhancement.

The chance to be drawn will continue until 24 hours before the opening day of Realm 3, and each account can win a maximum of one APE Sneaker. STEPN noted that buying Enhanced Sneakers will not qualify users for the raffle, but selling Enhanced Sneakers that users have created will still qualify them for the raffle.
