OPPO Reno 3 Pro 5G to Become Thinnest Dual-Mode 5G Phone

Chinese smartphone brand OPPO has teased images of its upcoming Reno 3 5G, which is set to launch in December.

The company’s Vice President Brian Shen tweeted a sneak peek showing a portion of the smartphone, which featured a curved full display and virtually no bezels.

At just 7.7mm thick, not including the lens, it “may just be the thinnest dual-mode 5G phone in its price segment,” according to Shen’s tweet. This means the upcoming handset will feature true 5G “standalone” networks, and not have to rely on existing 4G communications infrastructure.

While the render appears to have a notch-less screen, it could possibly house a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner which is covered up in the tweet’s image.

Aside from the 5G network support, other device specifications of the Reno 3 Pro 5G remain unknown. Both the standard Reno 3G and the Pro variant will run on OPPO’s new operating system, ColorOS 7.

As for the standard OPPO Reno 3 5G, the smartphone is expected to be equipped with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 735 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
