OPPO Pad Air to Be Released May 23

Chinese electronics firm OPPO drummed up excitement on Wednesday for its new tablet, the OPPO Pad Air, which will be released together with the OPPO Reno8 smartphone series at a new product launch conference to be held at 19:00 on May 23.

It can be seen from promotional materials that the OPPO Pad Air focuses on learning and entertainment, with a 2K quad-wide screen on the front and spliced stripes on the back, which are available in silver and black. The silver version has a rainbow spliced stripe on the back. In addition, the OPPO Pad Air seems to have narrow bezels and appears to be very thin and light. At present, the new tablet can be reserved through OPPO’s official website.

Previously, Chinese Weibo blogger “Digital Chat Station” had exposed some parameter information on the OPPO Pad Air, including that it has a 10.36-inch 2K resolution 60Hz refresh rate screen, four speakers, Dolby Atmos sound technology, a Snapdragon 680 processor and a 7100mAh battery. It is mainly targeted at the 1,000 yuan ($148) market range.

Additionally, the blogger exposed that it will adopt a 5 MG front camera and an 8 MG rear camera with a built-in Snapdragon 680 SoC. The device’s memory is 4GB, with a built-in ColorOS For Pad 12.1 system, which will realize most of the functions of the current OPPO Pad.

OPPO released its first tablet product, the OPPO Pad, on February 24 of this year. The OPPO Pad features an 11-inch LCD screen with the color of black, silver and purple. The height, width and thickness are about 252.2 mm, 163.8 mm and 6.99 mm respectively, and the weight is about 507 grams. OPPO Pad is equipped with a Qualcomm 870 processor, a 13 MG rear camera, an 8 MG front camera and an 8080 mAh capacity battery.
