On-Demand Retail and Delivery Platform Dada Group’s Q2 Revenue Totals 1.5 Billion Yuan

Dada Group, a leading local on-demand retail and delivery platform in China, released its unaudited financial report for the second quarter as of June 30 on Wednesday. According to the report, Dada Group’s revenue in the second quarter was 1.5 billion yuan ($232 million).

In the 12 months ending June 30, 2021, the Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) of JD Daojia, an online-to-offline e-commerce platform under Dada Group, was 32.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 77%. The number of active consumers on the platform was 51.3 million, an increase of about 60%, while the net increase within a single quarter reached a new high.

As for the third quarter, the Group’s total revenue will reportedly range from 1.63 billion yuan to 1.68 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 80% to 86%.

In terms of the company’s operations, Dada Group provides technical, traffic, marketing and operational support and solutions for participating stores. The Dada Haibo System provides services for retailers and improves online-to-offline omni-channel operation efficiency. By the end of August, the number of stores using the Dada Haibo System exceeded 4,300, including thousands of stores of more than 40 top Chinese supermarkets.

Dada Youjian, a crowdsourced sorting management digital solution, helps merchants with picking services for omni-channel orders, product packaging, order delivery and other services. At present, the service has landed in Walmart, China Resources Vanguard, Yonghui Superstores, 7Fresh and other stores.

In the field of unmanned delivery services, in July, Dada Kuaisong officially released its unmanned delivery platform, open to unmanned vehicle companies. At present, it has joined hands with JD Logistics to serve Sam’s Club, 7Fresh and Yonghui Superstores.

By deepening cooperation with JD.COM, Dada Group will continue to serve the omni-channel and immediate needs of more than 530 million active users in JD.COM.
