NIO Launches Smart Electric Mid-Large SUV ES7

Chinese electric vehicle maker NIO held a product launch event on Wednesday during which the company premiered its newest smart electric mid-large SUV, the ES7, while also unveiling the 2022 ES8, ES6, and EC6.

NIO furthered its distinct SUV design with sophisticated wheel arches helping to give the ES7’s road presence a boost. The double-dash DRL showcased in the front of the ES7 joins with the “Air Wing” taillight that adds visual width.

A wheelbase of 2960mm gives the ES7 a spacious cabin with the front cabin adopting a dual-layer S-shaped instrument panel with expansive use of karuun sustainable rattan. The ES7’s front seats have heating, ventilation, and massage functions, and the heated rear seats are standard with power-adjustable seatback between 23° to 31°.

The “NIO Digital System for Evolving Smart Technology” also made its debut. It comprises several components, such as smart hardware, computing platforms, operating system, smart algorithms, and smart applications. NIO Digital System embodies continuous development into a cohesive eco-system with sustainability in mind. Banyan is the smart operating system on the NT2 platform while NIO‘s Aquila Super Sensing and Adam Super Computing represent the smart hardware and the computing platform. In addition, the ES7 will be shipped with the latest Autonomous Driving (NAD) made by the company. It will gradually achieve a safe and reassuring autonomous driving experience in scenarios such as highways, urban areas, parking, and battery swapping.

The ES7 ships standard with PanoCinema, the AR/VR compatible digital console system. NIO and Nreal, an innovative AR device company, developed custom AR glasses that can project an effective 201-inch screen at 6 meters. Coupled with the 256-color digital waterfall ambient lighting and the 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos surround sound system, PanoCinema will bring users an immersive visual and audio experience in the exclusive space of the ES7.
