It is not the first time that Shen won the title as the world’s best investor. He reached the top position on the Midas List of the World’s Best Venture Capital Investors in 2018 by Forbesafter Ppdai Group went public in November 2017.

Founded in 2005, Sequoia Capital China has invested in more than 500 companies, including giants such as JD.com, Didi, Alibaba and Toutiao.

Before joining Sequoia, Shen was a successful entrepreneur himself and co-founded travel site Ctrip.com and Home Inn.
