Lilith Games to Set up Game Publishing Brand in Singapore

Chinese gaming company Lilith Games announced on Monday that it will set up a game publishing company in Singapore called Farlight Games to support and facilitate the global distribution of the company’s games.

Kenny Wang, founder and CEO of Farlight Games stated that “The launch of Farlight Games represents a significant upgrade to our strategy of ‘global localization’. We want to recruit top talent from around the world to provide a more localized service to players around the world.”

Lilith Games mentioned that new games including Dislyte, Farlight 84, Boom Party, and an unannounced game that is codenamed “SAMO” will soon be officially revealed.

As one of the earliest companies in China to seize the opportunity of the rise of mobile games, Lilith Games once fell into a period of stagnation after the launch of its Soul Hunters (formerly known as Soul Clash). In 2016, after the integration of its business of distribution, research and operations, Lilith Games launched popular games such as “Art of Conquest”, “AFK Arena” and “Rise of Kingdoms”, which made it onto the best-selling lists of application stores in dozens of overseas markets.

During the epidemic, popular games such as “Genshin Impact” and “Rise of Kingdoms” increased the influence of game companies such as miHoYo and Lilith Games. Further, overseas markets became an important source of income for these companies. In February this year, miHoYo announced the launch of the new brand “HoYoverse” and set up branches in Montreal, Los Angeles, Singapore, Tokyo and Seoul. At present, games such as “Genshin Impact” and “Collapse 3rd”, which was published overseas by miHoYo, are all placed under HoYoverse’s system.

At present, exploring the overseas market has become the main mission of Chinese game companies. Companies including CMGE Technology, 37Games, iDreamSky, G-bits, and Nuverse all indicated that they would increase their investment in overseas markets.
