Huami’s New Smartwatch Series Amazfit GTR is a Tribute to the Classics

On July 16, 2019, Amazfit’s new product launch event themed “Time for the Grand Tour Racing” was held in Beijing. Huami Technology officially released the new series of smartwatches Amazfit GTR.

As introduced by the President of Huami Technology, the three letters GTR also stand for good-looking, tools and reliable, which are the main advantages of the product.

Amazfit GTR combines traditional aesthetics of wristwatch design with modern smart elements. It stands as a tribute to the classics, with 24-day long battery life, built-in 12 professional sports modes, hundreds of themed dials, all-day heart rate monitoring, full-featured NFC, offline payment on Alipay and many other smart features.

More specifically, the Amazfit GTR 47mm can last for up to 24 days in daily use mode of high frequency and full function, such as keeping the heart rate and sleep monitoring features on, 15 minutes of GPS on every day, 150 new messages, 30 screen-on, 4 NFC swipes per day and 5 minutes of other operations.

It has two different sizes of 47mm and 42mm. The Amazfit GTR 47mm version is available in three editions, aluminum, stainless steel and titanium, and most surprisingly the Iron Man limited edition.

As early as June 11 at the Huami Technology 2019 Summer New Product Launch event, the company announced its partnership with Marvel to cooperate in terms of product, design and marketing. The Amazfit GTR 47mm Iron Man series limited edition is a special commemoration of Iron Man, who is one of the most important characters of Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Amazfit GTR 42mm has five editions, starry black, cherry pink, moonlight white, coral red and the one with 60 Austrian cubic zircons inlaid.

Amazfit GTR 47mm aluminum and stainless steel edition are priced at 999 yuan, with the titanium edition priced at 1399 yuan. They will be on sale starting from July 16 in the Huami Technology Amazfit online store, JD.com, Tmall and Youpin, Xiaomi‘s online store. The Iron Man limited edition is priced at 1399 yuan. Amazfit GTR 42mm is priced at 799 yuan, and will start pre-sale at 16:00 on July 16. The Amazfit GTR 42mm Austrian cubic zircon special edition is priced at 999 yuan and will be officially launched on August 30.
