Geely to Release Concept Truck Supporting Different New Energy Sources This Year

Li Shufu, Chairman of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, said on Thursday that Farizon Auto, a new energy brand under Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicles Group (GCV), will produce a concept truck this year. This model supports different sources of new energy power, such as pure electricity (including power exchange), extended range hybrid and methanol.

Li also said the truck provides users with an RV-like experience through automatic driving technology and a luxurious cockpit.

GCV has reportedly recruited nearly 2,000 R&D engineers. It has formed two major technical routes, namely, urban commercial vehicle system with pure electric and extended-range power system as the core, and road commercial vehicle system with methanol M100 clean energy and charging and replacing technology as the core. The firm’s products involve many commercial vehicle scenarios including heavy trucks, light trucks, small and micro trucks, van logistics vehicles and buses.
