Four-Wheel Drive Version of Huawei AITO M7 Enters China’s MIIT Declaration List

Huawei’s AITO M7 rear-drive vehicle model appeared in the declaration list of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology last month. According to another list released by the MIIT last Thursday, the firm has evidently added a new four-wheel-drive version to the product line.

The M7 is the second mass production model within the AITO brand, which is jointly developed by Huawei and Seres. The models have not yet been officially released.

In terms of body size, the AITO M7 is 5020*1945*1775mm and the wheelbase is 2820mm. The six-seat model will adopt a 40.66 kWh lithium battery from Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL). Its WLTC cruising range reaches 135km and its fuel consumption is 7.45 liters per 100 km.

In terms of appearance, there is not much difference between the four-wheel drive model and the rear-drive model. The new car is equipped with a 20-inch wheel hub, as well as glass between the front and rear seats to protect passenger privacy.

At the end of last year, Seres and Huawei declared the AITO brand. The previously released AITO M5 is the first vehicle equipped with Huawei HarmonyOS cockpit. Equipped with the HUAWEI DriveONE, the AITO M5 can generate 3.2 kWh of electricity with only one liter of fuel with the built-in 1.5T four-cylinder range extender 3.0.
