Chip Company WITINMEM Completes B1 Round Financing Worth $32 Million

WITINMEM, a low power AI chip maker, announced on Wednesday that it had completed a B1 round of financing worth 200 million yuan ($32 million). This round was led by LH Ventures and followed by Heaven-Sent Capital Management Group, Ruixin Investment, iFlyTech, Puhua Capital, and others. The new round of funds are marked for technology research and development, product line expansion, and the mass production of the company’s chips.

The founding team of WITINMEM is one of the first teams in the world to study computing-in-memory technology. The company has built an integrated development chain of the WTIN Mapper compiler, tool chain, computing-in-memory circuit design and multi-core computing. In 2019, it released the world’s first computing-in-memory chip.

The company’s WTM2101 chip was officially released in 2021 and adopted embedded flash technology. With power consumption as low as 5mA under peak computing power, it can be applied to intelligent voice and health products.

WITINMEM’s chips are now finding application in high-end smart watches, wireless headphones, and smart home appliances. Its consumers can also develop more functions based on its chip’s powerful computing power.
