On July 25, the first dual-brand new energy vehicle repair station of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) and Bosch’s after-sale auto services arm in China, officially opened.
According to the latest statistics by the China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM), in the first half of 2022, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China were 2.661 million and 2.6 million units respectively, both increasing by 1.2 times year-on-year, and the market penetration rate continued to grow rapidly. While the EV after-sales market shows great opportunities, there are also challenges such as too few service outlets, uneven technical and service levels, and a lack of professional fault detection and maintenance capabilities of three power systems in 4S stores.
In order to solve these issues, CATL has built a one-stop new energy services mode with battery services at the core, and it is committed to improving the overall after-sales services level and consumer satisfaction of new energy vehicles.
Following the opening of a strategic partnership between CATL and Bosch in 2021, both sides have integrated their respective resources to accelerate the construction of dual-brand authorized stores.
The newly opened dual-brand maintenance station covers an area of about 2,400 square meters, mainly providing services for new energy vehicles, and it will also focus on research and practice of digital inspection and maintenance technology.
CATL’s advanced battery background early warning and alarm process can help the maintenance station to diagnose vehicle faults in the cloud in advance, actively predicting or identifying faults to ensure the shortest maintenance period.
Bosch will provide all kinds of technical and wearing parts required by new energy vehicles, all-round inspection equipment, high-voltage operation and maintenance capabilities, marketing, operation counseling, digital ecosystem and other support.
