Denza adopts the direct sales mode, which it hopes can help it provide better services for customers. As of June 13, Denza has 76 stores in 51 cities under construction, and it plans to enter 49 cities to better meet the expectations and needs of users. It is estimated that by the end of 2022, Denza will cover 117 cities across China, and about 270 new stores will be opened.
Denza was jointly founded by BYD and German high-end automaker Daimler AG in 2010, with each party holding 50% of shares. On December 24, 2021, BYD and Daimler AG signed an equity transfer agreement, with BYD holding 90% and Daimler AG holding 10%. On May 16 this year, the Denza D9 model was officially released, with a price of 335,000 yuan to 660,000 yuan ($49,446 – $97,416).

BYD’s passenger cars have two series now: the Dynasty series and Ocean series. At present, “Seal” and “Dolphin” models are under the Ocean series.
In addition, BYD disclosed that the sales volume of its Han series exceeded 25,000 units in June, reaching a new high. The cumulative sales volume of the Han series has now exceeded 250,000 units.
As for the firm’s overseas business, BYD said it has been deeply involved in the European new energy vehicle market for more than 20 years. In the field of commercial vehicles, its pure electric buses have been operated in more than 100 cities in more than 20 countries in Europe. In the field of passenger cars, BYD’s Tang EV has been well received by local consumers since it was released in Norway in August last year.
Many BYD models have been exported to overseas markets. For example, the BYD Yuan Plus was launched in San Jose, Costa Rica, while the Yuan Plus, Dolphin and Seal have been introduced in Japan.
