AutoBrain Reaches Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation with HikAuto

Beijing-based autonomous driving company AutoBrain announced a strategic cooperation agreement on Monday with HikAuto, under which the two firms will jointly develop and commercialize a mass-produced product in the field of intelligent driving, namely the “driving and parking system.”

The companies have agreed on the long-term sustainable strategic partnership based on their technology accumulation and industrial resource advantages in the fields of automotive electronics and artificial intelligence.

The cooperation involves system development, joint bidding and joint promotion of parking and driving. Both sides will build up an R&D team responsible for the integration of AutoBrain’s self-developed intelligent driving software system with HikAuto’s high-performance, low-power intelligent driving domain controllers, high-definition cameras, ultrasonic radar and millimeter-wave radar. They will provide automotive companies with L1 – L2.99 autonomous driving and parking integrated mass production solutions for automotive companies.

As a provider of autonomous driving technology, AutoBrain delivers high-performance front-mounted advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) and mass production software products for passenger cars. In 2019, it released Mr. Pilot, the first high-speed autonomous driving mass production solution in China, and in 2020, it upgraded and released Mr. Pilot 2.0 products for substantial performance improvement in functional scenarios. In 2021, the company launched a software solution based on the mainstream chip platform for driving and parking.
