ByteDance's gaming subsidiary, Nuverse, is said to initiate a large-scale layoff starting from Monday.
TikTok’s owner ByteDance has disbanded its 101 Game Studio in Shanghai, letting about half of the 300-plus staffers go and offering internal transfers to the rest.
Recently, it was reported that ByteDance's game team will reduce 80% of its staff in the distribution business line. However, a relevant employee in charge of ByteDance's Nuverse declared such reports untrue in a statement.
