Asus on Wednesday released its gaming flagship ROG 5, which is packed with new high-end features including up to 18GB of memory and Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 888 chipset.
ROG Phone 2 became the first android phone to feature the powerful Snapdragon 855+ chipse, and other smartphone manufacturers have since followed.
The ROG Phone 2 is a strong competitor against others in the gamer phone market including Razer Phone, Nubia Red Magic and Xiaomi Black Shark.
On July 23, ASUS’ gaming subsidiary ROG and the world’s biggest mobile game company Tencent Games held a launch event to present several new products.
The ASUS ROG Phone 2 is launching on July 23, and ASUS just confirmed it will be the first smartphone to be powered by the game-centric Snapdragon 855 Plus.
ASUS might join the circle with its upcoming ASUS Zenfone according to leaked photos on Twitter.
