Following a forray into the e-cigarette sector, Luo is aiming to sell a wide variety valuable products like digital technology products, cultural and creative products, books, and household groceries. Luo said in his post on Weibo, “Although I am not suitable for selling lipsticks, but I believe that I can bring goods in a lot of product categories.”
In his announcement on Weibo, he cited a report released by China Merchants Securities on January 5th on the e-commerce livestreaming market. The report stated that market size exceeded 10 billion yuan, highlighted by a massive potential user base.
Active in many sectors, Luo became global partner at Sharklet Technologies in December of 2019. Sharklet, based in Colorado, specializes in producing a plastic sheet that inhibits bacterial growth through its structural pattern alone. This groundbreaking material’s development was aided by US Navy-funded research and patented by University of Florida materials science professor Anthony Brennan.
In 2018, Luo’s Smartisan set the Guiness World Record for the largest audience for a technology product launch event, drawing 23,152 to the National Stadium in Beijing for the launch of their TNT Work Station and R1 smartphone.
