Twitter user “Alex” exposed the design renderings of the new realme GT Neo 3 Gaming Edition through his feed on Wednesday. The smartphone features three rear cameras, orange strips for decoration along the backside and orange shoulder keys on the right side. This is a typical configuration for gaming smartphones.
“Alex” also said this edition will be equipped with the MediaTek 9000 SoC and a 5000 mAh battery that supports 125W fast charging.
Realme launched the GT Neo 2 in China and India last year, and is reportedly to release the GT Neo 3 in March or April 2022. Realme has not given a specific date yet.
To date, no smartphone has yet used the Dimensity 9000 chip since it was released last year. But it doesn’t look like it will remain that way. Earlier, one digital blogger reported that Digital Chatting Station exposed one of the first flagship smartphones to feature the Dimensity 9000 will be released this month, and another two new machines adopting the Dimensity 9000 or Dimensity 8000 chips are expected to be unveiled in March.
The Dimensity 9000 adopts the TSMC 4nm process and supports the latest LPDDR5X-7500 memory. Its main competitor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform, adopts Samsung’s 4nm process and supports LPDDR5-6400 memory.
