Pop Mart, a trendy culture and entertainment company, officially opened its first pop-up store in South Coast Plaza, California. This is the first time that Pop Mart has opened an offline channel the U.S.
Located on the west coast of the U.S, South Coast Plaza is the largest landmark shopping center in California and the third largest in the country. It is not only the first choice for many international top-line brands, but also a gathering place for young people and trend followers in the U.S.
Pop Mart’s US pop-up store store adapts warm and bright theme colors and, during the opening period, a variety of popular limited collections were exhibited and made available for sale.
Justin Moon, Vice President of Pop Mart, and President of Pop Mart International, spoke about the company’s expansion, saying, “The United States ranks first in the global toy market. In the art toy industry, the consumer market in the country also has great potential and influence.” The North American market is a massive battleground for international toy giants and Pop Mart is has exploring the possibility of localized businesses through offline exhibitions, cross-border e-commerce, and distribution agreements.
In November, 2021, Pop Mart made an appearance at DesignerCon in the U.S. Its presence attracted a huge following for its trendy collections created by Chinese designers such as DIMOO, Yuki and Hirono. In December of the same year, Pop Mart’s app “Pop Mart Global” was officially launched in the U.S. with its main functions including an online shopping mall and community. Users can purchase products directly through the application and share their experience while interacting with the community.
