On the evening of October 24, OPPO’s smartphone brand OnePlus released a limited edition of Ace Pro model co-branded with popular mobile game Genshin Impact. The new device has a theme related to Hu Tao, a playable Pyro character in the game. The HyperBoost engine has been specially designed for the game alongside Genshin Impact’s developer miHoYo, with an exclusive tuning plan to realize continuous optimization of new versions of Genshin Impact.
The new model comes with a series of co-branded game content, only providing the top configuration of 16GB + 512GB for a price of 4,299 yuan ($588). In the box, there are a series of customized related gifts, a heat radiation protective smartphone case and the specially designed “A Letter to the Traveler,” which enables players to redeem many props including 1,000 Primogems (a kind of currency in the game). The model will be pre-sold in three rounds and officially put on sale at 20:00 on October 31. At present, the official website shows that the first round of booking has attracted 87,726 users to make pre-orders.
In terms of configuration, this limited version smartphone is the same as the ordinary version. It is equipped with a Qualcomm 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a 4800mAh battery, and supports 150W fast charging. The machine adopts a 5,177 mm² super-large area in the VC zone, and the screen supports a 720Hz sampling rate and 1000Hz touch response. Even if it runs Genshin Impact for a long time, the smartphone can have stable frame rate and good temperature control. At the same time, the screen, which has a high sampling rate, makes it easier for users to control game characters more smoothly.
In addition to the configuration, this smartphone model also brings a lot of details related to the game, such as customized design. Inspired by the color of Hu Tao’s hat, the rear of the phone adopts a dark brown silk glass, with a butterfly near the OnePLus Logo. Within the smartphone, Hu Tao-related elements have been adopted, such as boot animation, animation during charging, fingerprint unlock animation, application icons and built-in voice assistant.
This is not the first time that OnePlus has cooperated with Genshin Impact. Last year, OnePlus launched OnePlus 9RT Genshin Impact Sucrose Limited Edition and released an exclusive game experience optimization plan.
Genshin Impact is an open world adventure mobile game that is popular all over the world. According to Sensor Tower, in September 2022, the mobile revenue of miHoYo’s Genshin Impact was $130 million. Specifically, 43% of revenue came from the Chinese iOS market, while revenue from the Japanese market accounted for 22.7%.
