On Monday, Pete Lau, founder of OnePlus and Chief Product Officer of OPPO, announced via his Weibo account that Louis Li will become President of OnePlus China.
Louis Li joined OPPO in 2010 and has been deeply involved in the smartphone industry for more than a decade. During his 11 years at OPPO, Louis has been responsible for the Find series planning, product roadmap planning, hardware strategy and China region strategy, in addition to serving as the head of user operations in China.
Louis’ deep understanding of the smartphone industry, as well as his insight into the system construction and operation strategy for users, will help OnePlus in upgrading products, channels, supply chains and after-sales in China.
Lau said that in the future, he will focus more on products, while Louis will fully handle OnePlus’ domestic business. Louis later said that he would make a good connection between OnePlus and its fans in the future, to continuously improve their user experience.
In December last year, Lau announced that OnePlus had achieved the global sales target of 10 million units ahead of schedule. In addition, the OnePlus 10 Pro will be released on January 11.
