An investor revealed that DJI Automotive believes that after two rounds of financing, its valuation can reach 1.5 billion US dollars.
On April 12, 2022, DJI launched the “DJI Automotive” brand and officially entered the intelligent driving business, claiming to provide “a safe and easy travel experience for everyone.
At the beginning of this year, there was news that “DJI Automotive” had been separately split, while the official response stated that department operations would continue as usual and there would be no renaming, thus confirming this rumor.
According to official information from DJI Automotive, it mainly focuses on the research and development, production, and sales of intelligent driving systems and their core components. The publicly available services currently include intelligent driving software and hardware solutions ranging from L2+ to L4 levels, Livox Technology’s LiDAR sensors, visual perception sensors, domain controllers, high-precision maps, navigation positioning systems, warning systems, and smart parking.
Currently, DJI’s first mass-produced intelligent driving solution “Lingxi” is installed on the 2023 model of the Baojun KiWi EV. It was launched and delivered in 2022 with a suggested retail price of $14,000.
A few days ago, Baojun also launched a pure electric car, Yunduo, with a starting price of $13,000. In September, they will also release an upgraded “DJI” version.
