Xiaomi’s Largest Mi Home Flagship Store to Open on April 30

William Lu, Senior Vice President of Xiaomi Group and President of Xiaomi China Region, has said that the technology company’s new flagship store will open at Wanxianghui on Zhongshan Road in the southern Chinese city of Nanning on April 30.

According to promotional material released by the Guangxi Province Xiaomi Store, this will be the country’s largest flagship store for Mi Home and covers an area of ​​1,000 square meters. Consumers will reportedly be able to find more than 2,000 smart products and services at the site, including smartphones, smart speakers, and smart TVs, The official poster shows there is also a huge naked-eye 3D digital billboard above the store.

William Lu said earlier that Xiaomi would further promote “integration of sales and services,” and would provide after-sales services in the authorized stores of Xiaomi at the county level. In the future, each county in China is planned to have a Xiaomi service center.

William Lu said: “Mi Home will be responsible for sales and services of Xiaomi Auto, and should provide excellent interconnected experience of Xiaomi ecological chain in user scenarios. As such, the store must cover a large area, or it wouldn’t be able to display vehicles.”

Xiaomi focuses on the construction of smartphones and the smart home ecological chain. On March 30, 2021, the firm announced it was working on a smart electric vehicle, establishing a wholly-owned subsidiary to pursue this initiative. It initially invested 10 billion yuan ($1.5 billion) in the project, and plans to invest another 10 billion US dollars throughouti the next decade. After half a year’s preparation, Xiaomi Auto Project appears to be developing on the right track. On September 1, 2021, Xiaomi announced the registration of its auto subsidiary.

On November 27, 2021, the Xiaomi Auto Project officially settled in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. This project will include the construction of the Xiaomi Auto Headquarters Base, Sales Headquarters and R&D Headquarters. The firm intends to establish a complete vehicle factory with an annual production capacity of 300,000 vehicles. This factory will be constructed in two phases, and each phase has a production capacity of 150,000 vehicles each year. Mass production is expected to be realized as early as the first half of 2024.
