At 7:00 pm on August 11, Lei Jun, the co-founder and CEO of Beijing-based tech giant Xiaomi, will hold his annual speech, and many new products will also be released. Xiaomi has begun to generate anticipation for these products.

Lei Jun’s speech is expected to last for one hour. “The contents are carefully prepared,” Lei said. “The launch event in autumn is very rich and will reveal some new progress in our technical exploration. My speech and new product release are expected to take about 3 hours and will maybe go over by a quarter of an hour.”

The products to be released soon include the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, a 12.4-inch edition of the Xiaomi Tablet 5 Pro, Watch S1 Pro and Buds 4 Pro.

The Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor and an AMOLED screen with resolution of 2712 × 1220, supporting under-display fingerprint. The model’s cameras include 20MP front camera, 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 main camera, 8MP super wide angle lens and 2MP macro lens.

The display video of the MIX Fold 2 released by Xiaomi shows that the unfolded body is almost as thin as the Type-C interface, which is a great improvement compared with the 7.62 mm of the previous generation.
