WM Motor to Launch New E.5 Sedan at Beijing Auto Show

On Monday, Chinese electric vehicle startup WM Motor said that it will unveil its 2022 E.5 at the Beijing Auto Show.

The new WM Motor E.5 will use ternary lithium power cells and offer a range of over 500 kilometers. The company says that the vehicle is able to charge from 30% to 80% in only 39 minutes, adding that its liquid cooling system ensures the core works in an optimal temperature range.

The model measures a length, width and height of 4,718 mm, 1,838 mm and 15,35 mm respectively with a wheelbase of 2,810 mm and a 1.91㎡ panoramic glass sunroof.

The vehicle will be equipped with the Living Pilot driver assistance system with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and forward-collision warning. It also has an electronic stability program, auto hold and traction control systems, and other safety features.

The E.5 Sedan has a 12.3-inch center console and instrument screen with a knob-type gear shift. It also supports heating of front seats, reading lights, and other comforts.

WM Motor was established in 2015 and is headquartered in Shanghai. At present, WM Motor has two intelligent manufacturing bases, one in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, the other in Huanggang, Hubei Province. The company’s current vehicle line up consists of the M7, W6, EX5 and E.5 models and had sold 567 vehicles in February, up 36% year-on-year.
