VIPKID – The Only Chinese Company to Make Glassdoor’s Best 100 Workplaces in 2019

“Congrats to VIPKID for being the only Chinese company to be listed in the ‘2019 Best Places to Work‘ rankings published by Glassdoor,” said venture capitalist and technology executive Kai-Fu Lee who has been backing VIPKID since its foundation in 2013 through a post on WeChat.

For those unfamiliar with the name, Glassdoor.com is a website where employees and former employees anonymously review companies and their management.

VIPKID is an online platform providing international learning experience for children in China between the ages of 4 and 12.

Out of the 100 companies listed, VIPKID was the only Chinese company to not only be on the list, but also have a higher ranking than other famous companies such as Apple Inc., HP Inc., Morgan Stanley and Costco.

This speaks volumes for the online English education platform based in Beijing as it is not an easy task for companies to obtain good ratings on Glassdoor, nevertheless a 4.3 out of 5 for VIPKID.

Glassdoor reviews are based on overall employee satisfaction, compensation and benefits, culture and values, senior management, and work-life balance.

Of the 700,000 companies reviewed on Glassdoor, the average rating is 3.3. In order to make the list, companies must receive at least 75 ratings, while small and medium companies need at least 25.

VIPKID has demonstrated that it’s truly worthy of its name by putting kids first. Just August this year, it announced a strategic cooperation with HMH to bring personalized English lessons for kids of all ages.
