On May 10, Kantar and Google released their 2021 BrandZ™ Top 50 Global Brands in China report. Xiaomi was ranked No. 4, along with Alibaba, ByteDance, and Huawei in the top four on the list. Another smartphone-maker, OPPO, was ranked 6th and was selected as the Outstanding Globalizing Chinese Global Brand Builder.
The fast rising Chinese retailer Pinduoduo (PDD) has made it to this year’s Brandz Retail Top 20 list for the first time, as well as the brand database’s annual Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands.
The 15 Chinese brands included in BrandZ’s Top 100 Most Valuable include: Alibaba, Tencent, China Mobile, CBC, Moutai, Huawei, etc.
Research from brand equity experts BrandZ—by WPP and Kantar—reveals the “Brand Power” of leading Chinese brands is up 15 percent year-on-year, compared with 5 percent growth last year.
Google and WPP released a list of the Top 50 Chinese Global Brand Builders 2018 on February 6 in Beijing.
