On Wednesday, Chinese smartphone vendor realme released its realme GT Master Edition and Master Explorer Edition.
Xu Qi, vice president of realme, president of the company’s China operations and its president of global marketing, said at the press conference that the sales volume of realme GT series exceeded 1 million units. Realme has more than 85 million users worldwide.
The realme GT Master Explorer Edition 6GB + 128GB version released this time is priced at 2,899 yuan; the 12GB + 256GB version costs 3,199 yuan.
The realme GT Master Explorer Edition is designed by the renowned Japanese industrial design master, Naoto Fukasawa, who was inspired by the ordinary suitcase. The rear cover is made with a three-dimensional 3D vegetal skin process and weighs as little as 183.5g and is ultrathing, measuring only 8mm in thickness. Four colors are available, grey, apricot, white, and dawn.
Realme GT Master Explorer Edition will be equipped with a Samsung hyperboloid flexible screen and will feature a display with 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. The the bottom frame will be comparatively narrower than other devices given its COP packaging process, which aims to increase the overall amount of screen size. The display has a HDR10 + certified display effect, DC dimming, 1024 automatic dimming and other features.
The realme GT Master Explorer Edition also comes equipped with front and rear dual light sensors, with a maximum brightness of 1100nits. Xu Qi praises the new device as “the peak of the realme handset screen”.
The back plays host to three cameras, including a 50-megapixel sensor on the primary camera, a 16-megapixel super wide lens and a 4cm super macro lens.
In addition, the realme GT Master Edition weighs only 174g, complete with an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip. Three colors are available, namely, grey, white and dawn. The realme GT Master Edition 6GB + 128GB is priced at 2,399 yuan while the 8GB + 256GB version retails for 2,599 yuan.
