POCO C40 Smartphone Makes Global Debut

POCO, a mid-range smartphone line under Xiaomi, introduced its C40 smartphone globally on Thursday, less than ten days after its Vietnamese subsidiary revealed the handset.

The chipset applied on the new model is not made by Qualcomm, Mediatek, or even Unisoc – it is a JR510 from Shanghai-based JLQ Technology and has four 2GHz CPU cores and four more clocking in at 1.5 GHz. Pricing and availability have not been announced for any new markets yet. For context, the POCO C40 in the Vietnamese market is VND 3,490,000 ($150). POCO will also hold its F4 and X4 GT global launch event on June 23.
