NIO ET5 Unveiled, Delivery to Start in September

During the 2022 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show that opened on May 28, the NIO ET5 medium-sized pure electric vehicle was officially unveiled.

This is the fifth model to be produced by NIO, with a price range of 328,000 yuan to 386,000 yuan ($49,200-57,900). The new car is scheduled to begin delivery in September.

In terms of appearance, the ET5 will be available in nine different body colors, among which pink and yellow are exclusive to just this model. The new car has a size of 4790/1960/1499mm and a wheelbase of 2888mm.

The NIO ET5 adopts a 12.8-inch AMOLED display panel, NIO Aquila Super Sensing and NIO Adam Super Computing. It is also equipped with 23 speakers, a Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 surround sound system, and Dirac Pro’s leading algorithm.

The model adopts twin-motor four-wheel drive, with a 150kW permanent magnet synchronous motor in front and a 210kW asynchronous induction motor in rear. Its system has a comprehensive power of 360kW and a peak torque of 700 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.3 seconds.

NIO ET5 owners can select from 75kWh, 100kWh and 150kWh batteries, with cruising ranges of 550 km, 700 km and 1000 km respectively.

At the auto show, NIO also showcased the transparent version of a second-generation battery swapping station, demonstrating the power swapping process of the ET7 model. NIO‘s supercharging piles, 20kW household DC charging piles and household charging piles 2.0 were also unveiled to the public.
