NIO Commences Delivery of Luxury Sedan ET7

Chinese electric vehicle (EV) company NIO delivered its first batch of ET7 vehicles to owners on Monday in Hefei, Anhui province, where the firm is headquartered. New ET7 vehicles for other cities are also being shipped according to schedule, and will be delivered to customers soon.

The ET7 is the first model to incorporate the “NIO NT2.0″ platform with “NAD” (NIO autonomous driving) features. Since test drives started on March 5, users in more than 80 cities across the country have experienced the ET7.

NIO‘s ET7 has a length, width and height of 5101mm, 1987mm and 1509mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 3060mm, positioning it as a medium-to-large model. The maximum cruising range is over 1,000 km. It is also equipped with a 150kWh solid-state battery and 4D intelligent body control. The ET7 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds under half-load conditions.

In addition, the NIO ET7 adapts functions including NAD and Adam super computing. The whole vehicle has a total of 33 high-performance sensing hardware components and supports ultra-wideband digital keys.

In January this year, with the announced reduction of subsidies for Chinese new energy vehicles in 2022, NIO unveiled the post-subsidy price for the ET7: 436,660 yuan to 513,400 yuan ($68,580-$80,633).

According to the financial report released by NIO, the company delivered 91,429 vehicles in 2021, up 109.1% year-on-year. NIO predicts that the number of vehicles delivered in the first quarter of 2022 will be between 25,000 and 26,000, an increase of about 24.6% to 29.6% compared with the same period in 2021. In addition, in view of the recent price increases of many car companies, which have been affected by fluctuations in raw material prices, NIO said that price stability is good for the interests of users and the market, adding that it has no plans to raise prices in the short term.
