Motorola’s Folding Phones: Motorola Razr 5G vs Razr 2019
The Motorola Razr 5G has been officially announced as the successor to the Motorola Razr 2019, and the new Razr is a more refined foldable phone.

Motorola’s first generation of Motorola Razr was released by Lenovo in the US market in November 2019, coming with a 6.2-inch foldable plastic OLED main display and a 2.7-inch Quick-View display, Snapdragon 710 chipset and 6GB of RAM.

Although the appearance of the Razr 5G has not changed much, it differs from its predecessor in a few other ways. It is powered by a faster Snapdragon 765G; the rear camera has been boosted from 16MP to 48MP and selfie camera from 5MP to 20MP; RAM has been increased from 6GB to 8GB; storage has also doubled to 256GB; battery capacity is larger, reaching 2800mAh and supporting fast charging; and it enables 5G connectivity. The new Razr is also lighter than its predecessor, dropping from 205g to 193g. The new foldable Razr price is $1,399, making it a little cheaper than the original Motorola Razr 2019.

Motorola Razr 5G release date and price
The Motorola Razr 5G was announced on Sept. 10, 2020, and is available to buy in China since Sept. 15. But for the overseas market, we don’t know when it will actually hit the retail shelves yet. Motorola said the foldable phone will ship this fall in the US, and you will be able to buy the the $1,399 phone unlocked from Motorola itself as well as Best Buy, B&H Photo, AT&T and T-Mobile then.
