LEGOLAND Shenzhen Resort Opens in 2024

On April 18th, it was announced that the main structures of the three major themed hotels in LEGOLAND Shenzhen Resort will soon be topped off. It is expected to be completed and put into operation by 2024.

LEGOLAND Shenzhen Resort officially started construction on August 26, 2021 in Dapeng New District. It covers an area of 580,000 square meters and has one theme park, one water park, and three themed hotels with a total investment of over RMB 7 billion (USD 1 billion).

The project is exclusively operated by the UK’s Merlin Entertainments and will become the first international IP family entertainment theme park resort in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau after completion.

In 2005, Merlin Entertainments acquired LEGOLAND Resort and now owns 10 Legoland Resorts. Currently, three Legoland parks are under construction in China.
