iQiyi Intelligence Releases VR All-in-One Machine Adventure 3

On August 31, Xiong Wen, CEO of Chongqing iQiyi Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd, announced the official upcoming release of its VR All-in-One Adventure 3 on September 3. The product is priced at 3,499 yuan ($542), but only costs 3,399 yuan when first released.

iQiyi will provide the first batch of users 30 games worth 1,700 yuan free of charge, and offer another new free game every month thereafter.

iQiyi Intelligence has developed from the intelligent hardware department established by iQiyi in 2016. This department focuses on the R&D of VR, and the firm’s VR all-in-one Adventure series machines. In January this year, iQiyi Intelligence announced its securement of several hundred million yuan in B-round financing, and unveiled the hardware adopted by Adventure 3.

Adventure 3 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 5G Platform, which is the world’s first XR platform to unite 5G and AI. It is equipped with a 5500mA battery and 8G + 128G memory. The lens adopts two independent customized 2.89-inch Fast LCD, with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Users wearing glasses can also use the product.

Regarding the video, Adventure 3 offers 4K 3D video and 8K video with full pixel readout. The QIYU 3 also features iQUT future cinema, which provides users with a 2,000-inch screen experience.

At this conference, iQiyi Intelligence showed many VR games such as Arizona Sunshine, Music for Future: Songs Plan, Magic Garden, Small Town Restaurant and VR Driving School.

Recently, several VR/AR enterprises have announced their completion of financing rounds or the release of new products. IDC data shows that Facebook has sold nearly 3 million units of the Oculus Quest 2 all-in-one machine within the first three months after its launch. On August 30, Pico, a major producer of VR headsets, confirmed its acquisition by ByteDance.
