Hozon Auto Releases Tiangong Battery for Initial Use in NETA S

Chinese electric vehicle firm Hozon Auto announced on May 27 that the NETA S model will be equipped with its self-developed “Tiangong Battery.” At present, the firm has completed test work on the battery, focusing on the optimization of safety, the thermal management system and cloud management.

According to news released by the company, this new battery will use aerogel thermal insulation material with low thermal conductivity to keep heat from spreading and to improve safety, preventing self-ignition of the battery pack.

In terms of thermal management, this product will use the self-developed Hozonept 4.0 battery constant temperature management system. This system can keep the battery at a constant temperature when driving and can achieve intelligent heat-insulation after parking.

The active monitoring system of the battery observes and warns about safety risks, usage and battery cells. In addition, it will work out the most suitable battery management scheme for each car through big data analysis, so as to realize the aim of “one car with one scheme,” extending the battery life.
