Honor X40 5G Smartphone Series Launched, Starting From $214

At its new product launch conference held on the evening of September 15, Honor, a Chinese consumer electronics brand, unveiled the X40 series mobile phones. The Honor X40 series is currently available for pre-sale and will go on sale at 10:08 on September 23. The company also stated that the cumulative number of users of the Honor X series smartphones has now exceeded 100 million.

At the press conference, firm CEO George Zhao said that MagicOS 7.0 will be officially launched in the fourth quarter of this year. Honor will work with industry partners to jointly create a cross-application, cross-device, and cross-system intelligent ecosystem.

In addition to the X40 series, Honor has also launched a number of new products, including the Honor MagicBook V and X series new laptops, and the Honor Pad X8.

MagicBook V 14 2022

At the press conference, Honor released the MagicBook V 14 2022 laptop, equipped with a 12th-Gen Core H-Series processor, and also offering another version with a NVIDIA MX550 GPU.

The MagicBook V 14 2022 is equipped with a ToF sensor and a 5MP camera and supports Air

Gesture. With the 5MP camera, this laptop supports 1440p video conferencing.

This device offers users a choice between the i5-12500H and i7-12700H processors, standard 16GB LPDDR5 memory and 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Thunderbolt 4 is also available.

In terms of software, MagicBook V 14 2022 supports OS Turbo, which helps reduce power consumption by up to 26.7%.

MagicBook X Series 2022

The new Honor MagicBook X series consists of two models, X14 and X16, featuring simplicity and lightness while presenting an elegant appearance. They also support Honor Connect, which can easily complete file sharing and transfer between the laptop and other devices. Transfer rates can be as high as 70MB/s and the multi-screen collaboration function supports connection with mobile phones, smart screens and other devices.

The 2022 MagicBook X 14 and MagicBook X 16 laptops are equipped with i5-1235U and i5-12500H processors, the former has 10 cores and the latter has 12 cores. They are each bundled with 16GB LPDDR4x memory and a 512GB SSD. The model is priced from 4699 yuan.

Honor Pad X8

The Honor Pad X8 is mainly for students as it is equipped with the MediaTek G80 chipset and a 10.1-inch high-definition screen with a resolution of 1920×1200. The device also has pre-loaded exclusive education software while the cover is made of aluminum alloy with a thin and light body design.
