GWM Launches Hafer H6 HEV, Enters Vietnamese Market

On August 4th, it was reported that on August 2nd, Great Wall Motors officially launched the GWM brand in Hanoi, Vietnam. The global model, Haval H6 HEV, was released in Vietnam and the first GWM store opened. GWM has successfully entered the Vietnamese market.

Great Wall Motors stated that the Vietnamese market, as an important part of the ASEAN region, has further solidified Great Wall Motors’ position in the ASEAN market through brand releases, product launches, and the opening of its first store. It also demonstrates China’s determination and ability to expand Chinese automotive brands into international markets.

The Haval H6 HEV has dimensions of 4714/1940/1729mm (length/width/height) and a wheelbase of 2738mm. Based on the Great Wall Lemon hybrid DHT, it is equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged engine + 130kW electric motor, providing a combined power output of 179kW. It features an L2-level autonomous driving system that supports functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane change assist, and emergency braking.

This foray into Vietnam is the latest move by Great Wall Motors to deepen its presence in Southeast Asia. Currently, the automaker has already established operations in Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Brunei, with plans to expand further into other ASEAN countries such as Singapore and Indonesia.
