Douyin Partners up with Apple’s Siri to Make Voice Search on Douyin Easier

TikTok’s sister app Douyin announced on Tuesday that it has entered a partnership with Apple’s Siri which would allow iPhone users to activate Douyin’s search function through Siri’s voice command. The function has been made available to Douyin users on iPhones.

With the increasing popularity of short videos and video search, using Douyin to search has become a habit for many. As of last year, Douyin Search saw as many as 550 million monthly active users (MAUs) use the platform. The Siri shortcut will bring the convenience of voice command to Douyin’s 600 million daily active users who are now able to search on Douyin without lifting a finger.

“We have been continually working to optimize users’ experience and hope the new voice search function enabled by the partnership will make the search experience easier than ever for our users,” a spokesperson for Douyin said.
