Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian’s venture capital arm Seven Seven Six (776 Management) funded the first round of funding of Doodles, a collection of 10,000 NFTs in the Web3 universe. The amount of financing was not disclosed.
Katelin Holloway, co-founder of 776 Management, will join the Doodles board. The company also announced the appointment of American artist Pharrell Williams as chief brand officer and board member.
Founded by Evan Keast, Scott Martin, and Jordan Castro, Doodles is a collection of 10,000 NFTs that are made up of hundreds of visual traits designed by Burnt Toast that include hand-drawn Doodles include skellys, cats, aliens, apes and mascots. The Doodles collection also includes dozens of rare heads, costumes, and colorways of the artist’s palette.
Owning a Doodle allows users to vote on community-driven features, products and events. This gives Doodles’ roadmap a collaborative aspect to be decided by the project founders and Doodle holders via the Doodlebank. The Doodlebank is a community treasury which boasts over $5m and is used to fund these experiences.
