Bike-Sharing Giant Hello Inc.’s Subsidiary Cooperates With EV Link to Promote Green Energy Platform

On Friday, Xiaoha Power Exchange, a brand owned by Chinese bike-sharing giant Hello Inc., and Southern Power Grid Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd. (EV Link) announced that they have recently signed a formal cooperation agreement

According to the deal, the two companies will cooperate in the field of electric two-wheeler services in urban areas, and build an integrated power exchange service network for such vehicles. The network will consist of of “electric vehicles + electricity + battery charging stations,” based on AIoT, artificial intelligence and big data technology.

The first co-construction project has already landed in the city of Foshan, within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. In the future, the two companies will take this location as the starting point for gradually spreading into the provinces and cities of southern China, aiming to provide safe, clean, intelligent, efficient and green two-wheeler travel services for urban societies.

According to its official website, EV Link is an enterprise specializing in electric vehicle industry services under China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd. (CSG), providing R&D, manufacturing and sales of charging and replacing power equipment, investment and operation of charging stations, automobile sales and renting, and construction of an industrial chain ecological platform. Up to now, the number of valid registered users of EV Link’s charging service platform has reached 1.672 million, while 398,000 charging piles have been connected.

Zou Dazhong, chairman of EV Link, said that this time, the company and Xiaoha Power Exchange will make further investment in the field of electric two-wheelers, and will devote to jointly building a green energy interconnection platform in the field of high quality two-wheeler electric power.

As the leading two-wheeler electric power exchange service brand in China, Xiaoha Power Exchange received joint funding from Hello Inc., CATL and Ant Group in June 2019, and is committed to building the largest energy network infrastructure of electric two-wheelers in China. 

By the end of August this year, the enterprise’s service covered more than 300 cities, and the batteries of electric two-wheelers operated nationwide exceeded one million, with hundreds of thousands of times of daily power exchange. 

In the past two years, Xiaoha Power Exchange has completed two rounds of financing.
