Beidou System Certifies Meituan’s Two-Wheeled Vehicles

Recently, the CTTL Terminal Laboratory of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) gave Beidou mobile certificate to two of Meituan‘s intelligent two-wheeled vehicles.

The Beidou mobile certification was jointly launched by CTTL Terminal Laboratory and the Beidou Satellite Navigation Product Inspection and Certification Alliance, under the guidance of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Application Management Center.

Beidou mobile certification has gradually become the standard for information and communication products. Up to now, the certification has been issued to nearly 20 smartphone devices released by OPPO, Vivo, Apple, Xiaomi, Honor, and many smart, two-wheeled vehicles, including Hello Inc, and many other enterprises.

Testing of these intelligent two-wheeled vehicles consists of basic positioning and fusion positioning capabilities in situations both with and without obstacles or with obstacles on one or two sides. Other tests include common, real-life scenarios, such as office buildings, universities and bus stops.

By carrying out testing, the laboratory enables people to find vehicles more quickly during peak hours and can better find standardized parking positions after reaching the destination. Urban management institutions can also manage shared two-wheeled vehicles more accurately, standardize parking order, and improve the refined management level of cities.
